How lucky I was to find Jõe Külalistemaja a few years back!
Bus and railway connections from Tallinn many times a day. The trip by bus takes only an hour and a quart. And the price level here compared to Tallinn is so low the money spent on transport returns to you manyfold!
Rapla itself is a pleasant small town. A river flows through the center, and Rapla is surrounded with vast areas of nature: Fields, forests, lakes, and swamps. Ideal fishing -territory.
In the evening, after checking in the cosy Jõe Külalistemaja situated only a few hundred meters from "downtown" Rapla by a creek, it is convenient to first have a look at one's e-mail on the computer upstairs.
Then it's time to have supper at the restaurant downstairs. My own
favourites: Different kinds of soups and local cakes for dessert.
The wooden building offers the traveler a peaceful night's rest - no disturbing noise from outside, as in the big cities.
The guesthouse also organizes all kinds of special events: Bithday parties, weddings, seminars, company events - ask for an offer!
Jõe Guesthouse left a standing impression on me on May 2nd., 2005. I arrived the previous evening. Next morning, after a good night's sleep, I set out for nearby Kohila village. I knew there were white storks nesting there. The Spring was cold, and late. However, one couple was already building their home above a chimney, an this resulted in the foto below. After a well slept night even photography feels like a child's game!
Visit Jõe Guesthouse. You are always welcome! |
